‘Queen of the Hills’, a 16mm colour film, was made in 1955 to publicise Aberdare during the year prior to the National Eisteddfod being held in the town.
The subject of the film is the local community and the working, social and cultural life of the Cynon Valley. A unique and engrossing record, it includes an amazing number of local people and shows a slice of real life seventy years ago.
