These boilers generated steam at 120psi reduced to 50 psi for no. 3, 4 and 5 winding engines.
Information provided by Ray Smith who worked as a fitter on these boilers from 1956 - 1965. his father had previously worked on them from 1940 t0 1965 as a stoker.
