The Rhondda Heritage Trail.
A video introducing our Heritage Stations with a song composed specially for the Project by The Unknown, a group from Coleg y Cymoedd and featuring the Treorchy Male Choir.
The Trail is laid out thematically with Heritage Stations throughout the Rhondda Fawr and the Rhondda Fach.
Travel to any Station, and you’ll find a special interpretation board offering a unique and surprising perspective on our valley’s story, with a link to an audio guide celebrating the significance of what you’ll see. Each audio guide is available online here.
As well as the 12 Stations with audio guides, there’s a bonus Station, RHONDDA’S STRIKING IMAGES at the Workers Gallery, Ynyshir Road, Ynyshir, CF39 0EN – a gallery space, community hub and library, hosting contemporary exhibitions and celebrating and enhancing Rhondda’s heritage in fine art and photography.
