    Anne Lord

Anne Lord was born in 1953 in Stanleytown, Rhondda Fach. She began work in various factories in the valleys, left work to raise a family, and later had a long career as a doctor’s receptionist. After living in Penrhys for twenty years, Anne moved back to Stanleytown and today enjoys her ‘retirement’ as a mother and grandmother. She has always loved writing poetry and short stories, and particularly enjoys producing and directing short plays, which are performed at Christmas at Llanfair Uniting Church in Penrhys.
