David Dobson was born and raised in post-WWII London. In 1964, aged 18, he left the UK ‘to see the world,’ and has visited and worked in nearly one hundred different countries since then, primarily working in education. He has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and has published short stories and poetry in American and Canadian literary anthologies, as well as winning two writing prizes. He has now retired to the Welsh Valleys and considers Wales to be his home. David has two grown-up daughters and four grandchildren in Western Canada.
